Adam Baker is a welcome addition to the modern-folk genre, which is ever increasing in popularity. Whereas 21st century folk supreme Frank Turner sharpens his tongue on the political arguments of the day, Adam Baker turns back the clock to the more traditional themes of songwriting - romance and religion. A gentle voice with strong emotions, aided by a heartbreaking string accompaniment, “Beyond the Sun” is a well worked collaboration of sounds that produce a beautiful song.

‘Let Justice Reign’ song of 2011?

I receive an email today informing me that my song ‘Let Justice Reign’ has been shortlisted for the UCB Unsigned Song of 2011!!!

There are 5 songs including yours in the final, which listeners can vote for from Monday 5^th December (my birthday whoop whoop!) up until Wednesday 21^st December.

The winner will be the song which has received the most votes and will be added to the UCB UK playlist throughout January 2012.

This song touches on a hard hitting message, it is very challenging and calls for a response to social injustice and poverty.

Radio someone still loves you… (Queen)

Well lots happening with my music on various radio stations at the moment. The reviews are great. “Carry You” is receiving airplay on mainstream radio stations and “Eagles” and “On the Cross” is play-listed on Trans World Radio, UCB UK have been playing tracks now for a number of weeks on the Unsigned show.

I am so happy with how the songs from the CD are being picked up and appreciated by the media. It is awesome.
